Silly Gift Ideas
If there’s one thing most people appreciate, it’s a silly gift. You can bring a smile to their face and make an impression. Of course, you have to make sure the gift is appropriate and not accidentally embarrassing. Then again, embarrassing gifts are pretty normal in some situations, such as 50th birthdays.
How about unusual clocks? Maybe they talk, maybe they change colors, maybe they run backwards or are oddly numbered.
If you want silly and perhaps a little annoying, singing stuffed animals may just fit the bill. Chickens that do the Chicken Dance, monkeys that crash their cymbals, Furbies… kids love them, but they drive adults nuts.

Gift giving doesn’t have to be serious. My grandmother commented at her 50th wedding anniversary that she knew right away when she opened the card we gave her that it was from us because it was the only one with a sense of humor. Everyone else took the occasion so seriously, but my sisters and I made sure to add a little levity. It was much appreciated.
So go on, take your funny bone out for a stroll and pick out a silly gift. It makes shopping more fun and is sure to get some attention when it’s opened. Life needs more laughter.
